Firaaq has traveled to film festivals in USA, Toronto, Pusan, London, Greece, Singapore, Dubai and then in India it was shown at the Kolkata Film Festival and the International Film Festival of Kerala too. Also it already got 5 foreign film awards in 2008 for Best Film, Best Screenplay, Best Editor, Everyday Life Transcendence or Reconciliation Award and also one nomination for Golden Alexander.
